"Y-you don’t have to. You know. Call me that. It’s okay."
"But you are my little brother.” and Dick looks so honestly confused that Tim doesn’t quite know what to do, for a minute. And then the man gives a little sigh, nudging the boy’s knee with his own, and says, “Kiddo. Look at it this way. I– me and Jay? We really, and I mean really got off on the wrong foot. I don’t think we ever got onto the right foot. We very, very rarely got along. And him and me are still brothers.” His eyes go darker, sad. And his knee nudges Tim’s again, but this time it feels like an accident. “I still love him a whole damn lot, and I– would’ve done anything for him.”
Tim’s shrunk down in his chair, pale hands twitching against the varnished wood of the table. There’s a little twist to the corner of his mouth, something indefinable.
The elder breaks out of his melancholic reverie, and smiles over at Tim. Who still looks unsure. Tells him, “That’s just how it is, ‘kay Timbo? We’re automatically family. And there’s nothing in the world that changes that. Not if you quit Robin, or become a part of some weird cult, or if you move to Saskatchewan with your dad. Family’s forever.”
The boy’s head is tilted to the side quizzically. Face pinched. When Dick meets his gaze, he immediately drops his eyes to the table.
Dick laughs, then, tells him, “But that’s a two way street, yeah? That means I’m still your big brother no matter what. You can’t disown me. And you have to still love me even when I do really dumb, embarrassing things, okay?”
Tim’s serious blue eyes flick up to him, and then back down. Colour rises in his cheeks. Voice soft, he says, “I think I can manage that.”
Dick sets his elbows on the table and leans forward, invading Tim’s space. Says, on a smile, “Promise?”
anexorcist said: I’d love to see more batbros conspiring against Bruce or something or them just acting more like a family!!
Summary: Um. Coffee puns.
(Trolling is almost family bonding, right?)
Characters: Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, Bruce, minor Alfred.
(Note: I think most of the terms are pretty common, but if you’re confused, Google it or shoot me an ask. They are all coffee terms.)
Anon asked: Hi! I love your work! So I was wondering if you could write an injured!Dick fic with his younger brothers fussing over him? And maybe Alfred and Bruce as well, in their own more subtle paternal ways? Please? :)
Another Anon asked: Noticed your header says requests are open, and so I’d like to request Bruce & Dick bonding, please?
Characters: Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, Bruce. I actually… left out Alfred? His care is implied!

First installment of Inktober is *surprise* Christine Daaè.
Sorry about the quality of the scan. My printer has seen better days (and even those days weren’t particularly good).
The great-great-great grandchildren of Dickens take a selfie with him on his 202nd birthday.
this is a very important thing that everyone needs to see.
tigrislupa requested: ….something involving the Batbrothers and a governess? Someone suggesting to Bruce in front of them that they need one, them actually interacting with one.
Err, I absolutely do not know how to feel about this one…
Characters: Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian. Mentions of Alfred, [very] minor appearance by Selina and the governess herself.
Summary: Bruce wants everyone to get along.
So if Yom Kippur is Shabbat Shabbatot, and it falls on Shabbat, is it then Shabbat3 ?
